TwinklHive Invests in Photocert Platform

Photocert, the company behind a photo certification tool has secured backing from TwinklHive, the business accelerator created by Sheffield-based educational publisher Twinkl.

Photocert’s platform automates inspection processes, combining image authentication with technologies like AI, optical character recognition (OCR) and augmented reality.

The company’s product that can be adjusted the needs of clients, and can be applied in markets such as logistics, online press, ecommerce, and art, among others.

Photocert is currently targeting the insurance sector helping to prevent fraud and improving visual inspection processes in the property and casualty segments.

The investment from TwinklHive will help Photocert to expand its insurance product portfolio, enhance AI and computer vision capabilities, and accelerate its growth.

Pasquale Saviano, founder and chief executive at Photocert, said: “Misinformation and advances in technology have made the ability to create fake photos and videos easier than ever. This can lead to wrong results and increase the opportunity for fraud. Therefore, we came up with a solution.”

TwinklHive was created by Twinkl at the end of 2019, with the aim of supporting start-ups in the technology sector. It has since invested in 20 businesses.
